Principle >>
The emitted light from the violet light source, blue light source and yellow light source is combined into a beam by a dichroic mirror, which is converged by an objective lens and coupled into the same multi-mode optical fiber. The three colors of excitation light transmitted through the optical fiber to specific brain regions of mice will excite the labeled green fluorescent protein (e.g., GCaMP6) and red fluorescent protein (e.g., mCherry) in the individual brain regions, and the green fluorescence and red fluorescence generated from the excitation will be collected by the same multi-mode optical fiber, and then converted into electrical signals by the two low-light detectors at the detection end to reflect the information on the neural activity of the mice.
