Principle >>
The excitation light generated by the laser light source passes through the dichroic mirror and is coupled to the objective lens in the multimode optical fiber, which transmits the excitation light to specific brain regions of the experimental animals. In this brain area, neurons were specifically labeled with a calcium-sensitive protein probe, these fluorescent probes convert the neuronal activity to fluorescent intensity with the excitation of the excitation light. The fluorescence signal of intensity and intensity change is transmitted through the optical fiber back to the detection light path, collected and converted by the photoelectric transducer for display and recording.
The system uses LED as light source based on the first generation of fiber photometry system, which has longer life and better stability.
